Amazing Facts
I'm in the mood for some trivias now.. maybe because of the weather! :) I'm a bit lazy to go out since it's raining hard and I don't wanna sleep.. so here, online and blogging! :) Since there's nothing much activities these days, I decided to share some amazing facts, maybe useful, maybe nonsense.. just do bear with this mood o' mine, ok? :) So, here goes...
-- What is called a "French kiss" in the English speaking world is known as an "English kiss" in France. (well.. life is really full of twists..)
-- In 1386, a pig in France was executed by public hanging for the murder of a child. (was the pig given a chance to at least get a lawyer?)
-- A cockroach can live several weeks with its head cut off! (why can't they just glue their heads back so they will live longer.. hehehe)
-- Human thigh bones are stronger than concrete. (maybe that's why there are thieves in cemeteries, maybe they're building their houses... eeewww!)
-- You can't kill yourself by holding your breath. (and who would do that?)
-- Right handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people. (Yey! I'm right handed!)
-- The elephant is the only mammal that can't jump! (good Lord if Dumbo can jump!) :)
-- Most dust particles in your house are made from dead skin! (eeewwwiiee!)
-- Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian, and had only ONE testicle. (nyaaaah!)
-- Months that begin on a Sunday will always have a "Friday the 13th."
-- Coca-Cola would be green if colouring weren’t added to it. (I won't drink a green Coke!)
-- Earth is the only planet not named after a god.
-- It's against the law to burp, or sneeze in a church in Nebraska, USA. (so.. one shouldn't go there after eating..)
-- You're born with 300 bones, but by the time you become an adult, you only have 206. (and why is that?!?)
-- Some worms will eat themselves if they can't find any food! (isn't that disgusting?) :P
-- Dolphins sleep with one eye open! (walang pakialamanan, oki?)
-- It is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open (I'll try my best to sneeze next time without closing my eyes, goodluck to me!) :)
-- Queen Elizabeth regarded herself as a paragon of cleanliness. She declared that she bathed once every three months, whether she needed it or not. (aaarrghh!)
-- Owls are the only birds who can see the colour blue. (lucky owl!)
-- A giraffe can clean its ears with its 21-inch tongue! (so.. giraffes are great kissers! hahaha)
-- Chocolate can kill dogs. Chocolate affects a dog's heart and nervous system; a few ounces are enough to kill a small dog. (beware dog lovers out there.. poor dogs, they can't eat chocolates.. tsk tsk tsk..)
-- A kiss lasting one minute can burn more than 100 calories. (hmmm.. good idea!) :D
-- Buckingham Palace in England has over six hundred rooms.
-- There was once an undersea post office in the Bahamas. (how odd!)
-- After the death of Albert Einstein his brain was removed by a pathologist and put in a jar for future study.
