On Sharing

The majority of us lead quiet, unheralded lives as we pass through this world. There will most likely be no ticker-tape parades for us, no monuments created in our honor. But that does not lessen our possible impact, for there are scores of people waiting for someone just like us to come along; people who will appreciate our compassion, our unique talents. Someone who will live a happier life merely because we took the time to share what we had to give. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have a potential to turn a life around. It's overwhelming to consider the continuous opportunities there are to make our love felt.

On a lighter note, the outreach wouldn't be complete without photo shoots! Or maybe we just know how to enjoy life.. ;-)

It was a tiring day but all the hard work paid off just by seeing the smiles in their faces.. just by a simple thanks from the Meralco-GK Sibol community.

Meralco Week: Cheering Competition

Wednesday, March 14

Cheering competition in Meralco, I would say, is one of the most awaited events every anniversary month. All the participating Meralco groups always give out their best, they're like pro's actually, pwede ipanlaban sa highschool, swear. ;)

This is the first time our group, Meralco Subsidiaries, joined the competition and I'm glad I was a part of the cheering squad. (ehem!)

Eventhough I was exhausted and stressed for almost a month coz of the long-hour-rehearsals, not to mention the super difficult steps - even more difficult than my board exam hehehe, I had a great time, as in super I had fun. I met new friends, special mention ang MG's (mean girls). :) Hi MG's!

“That's what learning is, after all; not whether we lose the game, but how we lose and how we've changed because of it and what we take away from it that we never had before, to apply to other games. Losing, in a curious way, is winning.”

Hahahaha bitter! ;-) Ok na yun, pumayat naman kami ni Trix eh, hehehe.

P.S. Special thanks to Alfred, Trix and Hani for the pix.

Meralco Week: Mardi Gras

Friday, March 10

Meralco's week-long anniversary celebration was a huge success. The never-ending rehearsals, bruises from the extremely difficult dance steps, and late night props preparations were all forgotten during the Mardi Gras. I would say that each of the participating Meralco groups deserves an award for their efforts. ;-)

Prelude to a 60's Party

Another busy day in the lives of McYummy's angels. ;)

This time, we're preparing for BSC's 60's themed Christmas party on Friday.

And we're all very, ok not so much.. a bit excited lang! ;)

We tried the 60's accessories care of Trix' mom, ang gleng, buhay pa yung mga shades ng mom nya. And the polka dots headband of Elj, na pwede din neckband hehehe, 3 for P100 in Greenhills. Cool! :)

Thanks to Elj, I'm gonna borrow her 60's look, new black peep toe, she said yes already. Yey! I have shoes na for the party, I don't have to buy! But I can buy other girly stuff. ;)

It was so sweet of Trix to come up with this unofficial corporate wallpaper. ;) And I would love this to be the official eMVI desktop background, hehehe.

Check out these other cool wallpapers, courtesy of Trix 'd great'! :D

Happy Beerday, Boss!

It was Boss Mark's (the cutie pie in striped blue and white polo :b) birthday today so he had a tremendous drinking party last night. Geesh, I even fell asleep in the restroom (kaya nga rest room eh hehehe), not because I was drunk but because.. uhmmm.. I was just sleepy. ;)

This is his cake, from his eMVI family. But since we (with office buddies Anna and Trix) were the ones who ordered the cake from Kink Cakes, obviously the girls in the cake were our replica, just the hair though, wishful thinking lang yung figure. :)

By the way, you guys might be thinking why we're all wearing green. Obviously, we've agreed to wear green since we thought that it's our boss' fave color because he's a La Sallista. Well up to now, we still don't know if we're right in picking green as his party color since boss himself was wearing blue, of all colors, kalaban pa ng green. ;)

Anna also prepared some weird-shaped balloons, such as Jong's green... balloon. :)

I will name this pic "the survivor series". The party was really crowded, as you can see, no more room to breathe. :P

The gorgeous guys and gals of eMVI dream team, este sales group. *ehem* :D

For united we stand, still... united we fall. ;)

Please bear with our Operations group, they've been working so hard for the past weeks, they hardly sleep and eat.. and as you see.. tsk tsk tsk.. but there's still hope, I guess. ;)

Goodbye and Goodluck

This blog is for my work buds Carmines and of course Jay. They feel that they need to move out for some reasons and we understand and respect their decision.

We prepared a party for them at Trixie's place in Amberland. And we had fun, though sadness still bites us because we won't be seeing them and laughing with them everyday the way we used to. Oh well, life's like that -- always in mixed hues.

By the way, today is also Carmine's birthday. Happy birthday, 'te! ;) Here's wishing you all the best the world can give -- kahit alam ko na kung ano yung kaisa-isang wish mo ngayon. ;)

We will definitely miss you guys. Thanks for everything and we wish you all the luck in your new found jobs. Keep in touch, k?

Jam Sessions

I had a very busy week. I had joint planning sessions with my two major clients, cellular giants -- Globe and Smart. We had a joint planning session with Globe last Wednesday, 1st of March then with Smart last night, March 3. Both were held at MMLDC, Antipolo City and hopefully, these joint planning sessions will be a big help for our project rollouts. And as usual, di mawawala ang photo shoot. :-)

We also had videoke (Star in a Million level yung mga Smart guys, as in whoah!), as always, and not to forget the flooding of beer :P after the planning session. Grabe! We went home last night, errr this morning pala, around 2AM. Then we dropped by at the nearest "Pares" house to grab a bite. Parang college, tsk tsk tsk. ;) Ayun, I went home with a flat tire! hahaha

Red Night

I got the pix from Elgin from our party last Friday, Dec 9 @ CIS Building. And they're all nice! Truly shows the fun we had during our party. And I was able to grab a chance to have a pic with 'Ratski'! :-)

Yoohoo!

It's my fifth month at work and I still am very much enjoying my job. :P Maybe the people I'm dealing with, inside the office and my clients, got me.

I love the people at eMVI. Or maybe just some. :)

Walang plastik, walang kiyeme. Totoong tao. Kapamilya. :)

Launch at The Loft

We had a "Matrix-themed" soft launch last November 14 at The Loft, Rockwell and I got the pix just now. It was like a thanksgiving party to our mother company, MERALCO, for the never ending support to us. The launch was great, especially the food. :-) I just love Bizu. The place is also nice, unfortunately, I doubt if it has a capacity of 250 guests as described in The Loft's web site. Oh well, as if I'm not that familiar with advertisements. ;-P

Thirstday Night

Who says partying comes only on Fridays and Saturday nights? I had 2 gigs tonight -- Nyt's videoke house party and MLL's beer-rhum-vodka-tequilla thirstday party at Cafe' Agogo! :)

To Nyt and Boss Mark, belated happy birthday! :)
