Sunday Afternoon

It was a fun-filled Sunday, we had a small get-together-despedida-lunch-party for our dear friend Juls at DM's place in Marikina - vacant lot a.k.a. farm(?). Too bad, Jeni wasn't able to make it coz she got sick. We knew already last Friday that Dheng and Aris won't be able to join us today, same with Jeff and as usual, Joy, for some weird reasons so somehow, we already accepted the fact that they can't join us. :-/ We had fun anyway, videoke helped a lot, as always. :) Oh well, our videoke wouldn't be so much fun without Gnet's rendition of Voltes V. :)

And not to forget the good food - lechon manok, liempo, sinigang na ribs, grilled tilapia, green mango and alamang and of course I won't forget Juls' Gardenia with peanut butter (Gnet, ban na tayo sa Robinsons Supermarket hehehe)! Thanks to DM's Tita Doyat for the sobrang sarap na sinigang and alamang and of course DM's Dad and Mom for the assistance. :)

A well spent Sunday afternoon. I just hope next time, kumpleto na ang tropa. And to Juls, bon voyage and goodluck! We're gonna mishu!

Scarlet Fury

I have a new baby, I just got it a couple of hours ago. Finally! :) Nah, scarlet fury is not the name of my new baby, scarlet fury is a color. Yep, and in simple term, red / maroon lang yun, hehehe.

I just loooove my new toy! :)

Hardcore Action

We watched 'Underworld : Evolution' a couple of hours back at Rockwell and wow! Bloody and full of killing! :-/ Stunts are great but the movie lacks a touch of a genuine vampire and werewolves story.

Anyway, what's important is -- it's our special day once again. We just had a simple dinner, a movie and our suha routine at Tiendesitas. And I know, and I'm sure that we both went home with smiles in our faces. :-)

Wabyu as always, DM! ;-)

Yes, I Will (If Only)

Who wouldn't say YES to this I'm-gonna-melt-your-heart-out proposal? :) It was at The Fort. Unfortunately, this wasn't for me, this pics were sent to me by my work buddy, Anna, asking me if this was for me, and I said no, how I wish! hehehe Well, everybody would want to be in this girl's shoes, right? Not because I'm inggitera! ahihihi

Anyway, even without this, I know I'm lucky to have DM by my side. :) And that's more than enough for me.

Family

DM and I watched 'The Family Stone' in Rockwell a while ago and I would say that liked the film. It has its flaws like rushed switching affairs between the four main characters but it was delivered in a funny way. What I like most is it's a family movie, showing us that our families matter most and whatever comes our way, eventhough at times we feel that they also cause us sufferings and pain, it would be our families that will surely be there to support us in any way.

This movie made me laugh and then cry and then smile.

Speaking of families... (clearing my throat) :).. we bought tickets for the Pacquiao-Morales match on Sunday, Jan 22, 7AM at Rockwell. I bought 3, for my dad, my brother Harree and for myself. DM bought 3 also, for him, his dad and mom. If ever, this will be the first time his parents would meet my dad. And I'm quite excited and nervous about it. :)

I just hope the match will last hopefully at least 5 rounds coz the ticket is a bit pricey and sayang if it would be a knock-out on round 1. ;-)

Homebody

Ok, so I'm back to being a homebody (duh? since when? hehehe).. I was like back to this ol' hobby o' mine -- cross stitch! Yes folks, it's me, manang sHenggie! :-)

I was doing Spanish Arcade (with a pitcher, some fruits and flowers and a Spanish arcade as background) a couple of years back, 5 years ago if I'm not mistaken.. and I haven't finished it yet -- not because it's difficult for me to do this but I totally forgotten that I've started this hobby years back. :-) I just remembered that I have an unfinished art when I was thinking of what to give DM on his birthday. I gave him an abstract painting last year, of course done by me :-), and why abstract? So the viewers wouldn't notice the imperfections hahaha!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving him my ol' cross stitch art crap ;), I'm giving him something else. Since he requested another art work for his room, one that he will place on top of his headboard, ehem na-pressure ata ako dun ah, :) I'll give in to his request.

I just hope I'll make it on time. And I hope he'll like it. :)

Snake Forecast

We were having fun at the office a while ago because of the yearly forecasts for each and everyone of us. It seems that my colleagues under the year of the dragon, rat, monkey and rabbit will be having some negative vibes for the year. Hmmm.. nah! We all make our own destinies and it's only us who can control our fate. Anyway, just for fun, forecast for a snake like me for the year of the fire dog is great! ;) And it inspires me, it's some kind of a mindset, I know I'll be having a good year, as per the Chinese horoscope so I'll do my best to make it happen. :)

So, for all snakes out there, check this out.

Your Career Outlook

2006 will be a fruitful year for you and your career prospects look very bright. If you are thinking of starting your own business, this will be an excellent year. Make sure you are well-prepared so that your chances of building a viable and successful business are high.

Regardless of whether you are running your own business or working as an employee, you should be wary of business scams. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you fall into such traps, it may cost you your career or your wealth. So be extra careful.

Improve on your interpersonal skills and be a better team player. Doing so will allow you to achieve your goals much faster.

Your Wealth Outlook

This is a great year for you to accumulate wealth and you should take the opportunity to make some financial investments or go into a business venture.

There is also the possibility of an unexpected windfall. It could be an inheritance; it could be the lottery.

Favourable months are May, September, December of 2006 and January 2007.

Your Health Outlook

Your health outlook is considered average this year. Make sure you see a doctor when you are not feeling well. Seeking treatment early is a wise move.

Make sure you drink moderately if you find yourself needing to socialize and entertain frequently. Avoid having too many late nights and make sure you get enough rest.

Take care of yourself well especially in the months of June, October and November as you are prone to illnesses.

Your Romance Outlook

A great year for romance whether you are single or attached. If you are single, you will have many opportunities to widen your social circle. You exude confidence and charisma, and people are attracted to you. Take your time to get to know people you are attracted to and do not rush into a relationship.

If you are already in a relationship, your relationship will grow from strength to strength. There is also the possibility of a newborn in the family so if you and your spouse are planning to have a child, this will be an opportune time.

Positive vibes! :-)

First Showing Day

First time -- I watched, with DM and my brothers (thanks guys, I know pinagbigyan nyo lang ako hehehe), a Pinoy movie in its first showing day -- Don't Give Up On Us! :-) Grabeeee! Major cutie talaga si Papa Piolo!!!

In fairness, kaaliw the movie huh! :-) Juday is really funny, I like her more in a comedy role.

Nene

PBB Fever Part 2

Tita Lina, dad's sister, invited us for merienda at her house in St. Monique Valais in Binangonan, Rizal. It was also a despedida since she'll be leaving for US on Friday. I saw my nephew, Cindy's son Junox and he's a super cool kid! :-) He's really sharp, he knows all the songs in MYX hehehe, TV commercials, he can also name any song (from past to present) and is fond of dinosaurs! :-) And this tod sings well too, from his father's genes, Junie is a former band member and my cuz Cindy is an equally great singer, from Elnar genes, ehem! :-)

Anyway, this village is also the same village where the PBB grand winner Nene Tamayo lives, care of PBB of course. After our get together, we exerted extra efforts to look for Nene's house, just to get a view of the PBB winner's new house and alas! We saw the blue and cream house, a replica of the PBB house in ABS-CBN compound. :-) Yun lang! Kababawan namin. :-) Sayang, we were'nt able to take pics, it's around 7PM na kse that time and it was a bit dark already. Anyway, we'll surely visit Tita Lina again next time, and also Nene. ;-)
