Most Wanted: Bed

I'm getting old. Gone are the days when I can party all night and yet manage to get up early for work and be as efficient as I can be. I'm all sleepy now. And I'm not feeling well. Aaaarrrrggghhh! My eyes are so heavy.. :-/

I got home around 3AM from a videoke-ala-concert-series with my college buddies -- Gnet, Cele and Aye, and of course, DM followed around 12 midnight, he thought we're done and exhausted after 3 hours of back-to-back-to-back-ala-S.O.P.-singing with a bit of dancing :) at IO, ABS-CBN, but he's dead wrong! The night is still young for us, our momentum is just starting.. :) well that's what I thought -- and now, I'm soooo sleepy and trying so hard to push myself to be at least productive for the remaining 2 hours of work but nah! I just can't.

Lesson for today: No night-out on weekdays. (for now) :)

Brad and Jen

Late bloomer in me: It was really a shocking break-up of the year -- Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.

So when I saw this poll in female network, I participated immediately. :)

-----------------------------
It's the most shocking split of the year. What should Brad and Jen do with their divorce?
A. Kiss and make up
B. Keep it private
C. Fight in public
-----------------------------

And I chose to click on A. That's what I wanted anyway. And here are the results:

-----------------------------
50.98% = 52 Votes: Kiss and make up
43.14% = 44 Votes: Keep it private
05.88% = 06 Votes: Fight in public
-----------------------------

Yoohoo! At least majority of the "voters" would still want a recon for this lovely ex-couple. :)

Season 2

Whew! Done with Smallville Season 2 at last! :)

Ending of Smallville season 2 is kindda saddening, Clark Kent left for Metropolis, leaving his parents and long-time love, Lana.

This Smallville series is well-written and the characters are perfect for their roles. Each episode is very imaginative and I would say, highly recommended.

And I can't wait to watch Season 3.

I just loooove Lex! ;)

Vintage

I had a meeting with a client this morning and the meeting was held at their office (it's more of an ancestral house to me converted to office) in Makati. While waiting for my client to arrive, I got to notice a Mercedes Benz convertible. The blogger in me asked me to grab a cam phone and take pics. :)

Happy Thoughts

Today's happy thoughts:

1. Special day today -- DM and I are celebrating our nth month today. Like other couples, we also have our ups and downs, but what matters is we always manage to fix our differences and move on. And it does keep us stronger.

2. I am happy at work. People around are so cool, no a-holes, no bitchies or nega people at work. That's a first for me! :)

3. At last, I already got Jenina's pic from Jeni, via MMS. And as promised, this is Jeni and Marvin's new angel, Jenina. Nica will surely love to welcome her sister Jenina, how can anybody resist this li'l angel? :)

How I wish I'll always be surrounded with happy thoughts.. well that exactly is a happy thought! :)

Heaven Sent

Congratulations to my friends Jeni and Marvin Dela Cruz for a new baby girl. Jeni gave birth last Tuesday, Sept 13, 9:40 AM. Ate na si Nica! And hooray for Marvin, naka-dalawa ka na, bro! Pahabulin mo naman kami! :)

I was waiting for the MMS pic Jeni will send me so I can post Jenina Mar's pic in my blog for our other pals to see. But I guess her MMS won't get through. Sayang.. anyway, will post as soon as I have it.

Sino kaya susunod? :)

Sari-sari:

1. I watched 'Shutter' with DM last night and the movie was really scary. Or duwag lang talaga ko. I still can imagine the ghost's face even after the movie, I guess Asian horror movies gets better, well for some. 'Feng Shui' is one, though Kris' acting was a disaster. Sorry for being mean, I really don't like Kris as an actress, ok lang sya as a host -- kahit taklesa.

2. Grabe talaga yung Green Tea craze. We were lucky to grab some C2's and Lipton's last night at Save More, Riverbank. Kya yun, inubos na din namin -- hoarding! Sorry, C2 lovers out there. :) Lagi kseng out-of-stock -- am I being defensive? :)

3. I got an email from Summit Media (cosmo, preview mags, etc. publisher). I was one of the winners of a Nivea whitening lotion pack. Though I really can't remember any contests I joined. Oh well, I'm just a GirlTalk member, that's all I know. Anyway, thanks na din po to Summit Media.

4. I can't do Smallville marathon today, I was already on my 13th episode, season 2 when Daddy told me that he's gonna watch boxing -- Barrera VS. Peden! Grrr! I don't get it, di naman si Pacquiao yun eh, but knowing my Dad, even amateur boxers, pinapanood. :) I guess I just have to accept that.

And so I decided to go online and blog.

Temptations

I'm in the mood for some personality tests so I chose to take the temptation quiz out of a number of other personality tests and.. I got 21 points out of 30! I didn't cheat. (did I just sound defensive there?) :)

Ehem! Ako 'to!

PRACTICAL PLEASURE-SEEKER. If a tempting offer comes your way, you know when to take it and when to wave it away. The secret to your sensibility? "You realize that you deserve to have fun and rewards, but you're not going to hurt yourself with a binge or a reckless adventure," says Nancy Rosenbach, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist in New York. Besides being confident and capable of exercising restraint, you always consider the consequences of a pleasure trip before taking it. Sure, you'll let yourself have cheesecake or go home with a guy on a first date—because, reasonable chick that you are, you know that a lot of life's spice starts with "Oh, what the hell!" But what separates you from the overindulger is that you can differentiate between dangerous enticements and harmless ones. Your instincts may say "This sounds fabulous," but your pragmatic side always follows it with "Will I regret it?" which is the perfect strategy for a risk-free good time.

You wanna know how resistant are you to life's pleasures? Take this Temptation Quiz for you to find out your willpower level. :)

Movie Backlog

DM and I haven't been watching movies, I mean going to cinemas to watch movies, for the past few months. Yep, you guys read it right -- months. It's a lot better now I may say.. we enjoy some privacy while watching movies in DVD :), though a bit delayed from the usual play dates.

Well maybe we were spending most of our free time with badminton. And we both love playing and sweating out coz it's some sort of a justification for our excessive food intake. :)

We watched Monster-In-Law and I was entertained a bit.. and a bit moved also. The movie was not at all extraordinary because a mother-daughter-in-law relationship usually is a mess. And that is expected.

I'm a JLo fan, yeah, but only when she sings and dance. JLo as an actress? So-so.

As I've said, the story of this movie is very common. And a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship has always been a struggle for both parties. But not for all, I would want to believe. I for one is fortunate enough to have a chance to mingle well with my mother-in-law-to-be. *wink*

Refreshed

It's just so great to pamper ourselves at times. I just got home from a very relaxing 'harmony treatment' from Pinnacle Spa and I would say that all my stress are gone. :) It was actually a birthday gift from DM, but I got to use it just now because of tight scheds. Well at last, I finally had one and it was really worth the wait.

This harmony treatment package includes 'Javanese Lulur' body scrub followed by an 'authentic chinese' foot reflexology and lastly a swedish massage -- approximately 3 hours. I love this Javanese scrub coz they use chocolate as an exfoliant and yogurt as moisturizer, I felt yummy! hehehe.. I wanna try Thai Fruit Body Masque next time, papaya and pineapple. Cream and milk na lang, pwede na fruit salad! ;)

Bottomline is -- I'm dying to go back!!! =)

SMS to Blog

Since today is the first day of September, first 'ber' month (holidays are coming! Yey!), my post is a quote I got from my friend Rizza, sent via sms:

"To be happy, don't do whatever you like, but like whatever you do. Happiness comes not from having much to live on, but having much to live for."

Hope this will somehow enlighten us.
