A Pre-Father's Day Wedding

We attended a family friend's wedding yesterday, June 14. Ceremony was held in our church in Pateros and reception followed at BBCBG facility (old Dencio's, across NBC Tent).

It was nice to see familiar faces, acquaintances, old friends, we we're so young then... and now, everybody's getting married (ouch!).

Food's ok, I had lots of lechon.

Photo and video coverage by Megapixels. I like their AVP, it was done in a funny way, not the typical 'romantic wedding' mood.

It was indeed a happy wedding.

Congratulations and best wishes once again, Zeus and Iris!

Since it's Father's day today, happy father's day, Daddy! We wouldn't have everything we have right now if not for you and mom.

I remember when I was younger, I used to tell myself that someday when I get married, I would want that man to be like my father. And it's still the same up to now.

Thank you would be an understatement for such a great dad like you. We may have misunderstandings at times, but you'll always be the same great person I know and I promise to always be a loving daughter (though I know it doesn't show at times) to you and mom.

Happy Dad's day as well to all my daddy friends (literally daddies and the sugar daddies). ;-)

We're Gonna Miss You

I received a very shocking and depressing news just a few days ago. When I first heard about it, I wasn't able to utter a word, I just cried. I just can't believe it would happen to a dear friend, to a good-natured person like him. I just had coffee with him last Monday, October 1, his birthday and.. he's gone now.

I just don't want to believe. But it's everywhere, it was in the news, it was being talked about especially in the IT industry. And I just have to accept that it really was true, a shocking truth.

I just lost a very dear friend, someone who understands my rants, my angst, my kababawan. He laughs with me, lifts me up when I'm down, shares with me his views about love and life... and I learned so many things from him. Even if we've just known each other for more than a year, it seems like we've known each other since birth.. he knows me very well, by just how I react at things, even if I speak otherwise..

I'm gonna miss you, Ed. I'm gonna miss our anything-and-everything-under-the-sun talks over coffee, oh, over your appleberry frizz and my signature hot choco in Starbucks. Thanks, my dear. Thanks for everything.

It's just too sad and depressing that you'll say goodbye to us that soon in a very unexpected incident. I hope justice will be served. I don't believe in our justice system but I would want to believe that there's still a little hope for us. And we won't stop praying for this.

My condolences to the families of Ed and Kaye. Everything happens for a reason and whatever those reasons may be, our good Lord will always be on top of everything.

Thanks Elgin and Trix for joining me last Wednesday night at Ed's wake, I'm pretty sure I can't go there alone. I really appreciate, guys.

Thanks Mike for bearing with me for the past few days, I know I was a bit unpredictable and my mood swings are worst. But you understood and I really am thankful.

Cool Place, Good Food

Here's a latest addition to my list of favorite dining place -- Il Pirata in Eastwood City. From the name itself, it's a pirate-themed resto. It's such a cool place, making me wanna look for hidden treasures. :-)

Take a peek of this Italian resto..

We're on table 11. Even the plates match their theme.

And even the chairs are customized, amazing!

Oh, I wasn't able to take pix of the food, I feasted as soon as they were served. =P

Not My Day

Major booboo today. I was supposed to play badminton tonight, I went back to this sport a few weeks back, just once a week though, after 7 long months. Yep, 7 months of no physical activities.. uhmmm.. 7 months of no badminton na lang :-)!

Ok, so back to the major booboo. Mike picked me up at the office because I'm on coding today. I was so starved when he arrived so I was like excited to leave the office and eat. I was carrying my office bag at my right, my notebook bag at my left and the triumph plastic bag (ahihihi), I just got my order (I don't have to write what that order was :-P) from my officemate Lea ;-), which I was trying to cover coz there were lotsa boys outside the building, hahaha! So Mike picked me up at the driveway, I hopped in and then off to Makati to grab a bite, WITHOUT MY BADMINTON GEAR which was inside my car in the parking lot, in Meralco-Ortigas. How great! Anyway, it took me more than 30 minutes to swing my mood and look for something worth doing while they were already playing and I drooling! =/

So I just took some pix, will only post a few, they're not so good coz I only used my N95 and I didn't use the flash.

Basketball court @ The Zone

Good that I had buttered popcorn while doing this post and watching Desperate Housewives. It kindda cheered me up. :-)

Bye Twen'ies

Friday, June 29
Custom's Bar, Ortigas

Since I'm leaving my twen'ies, I decided to have a party. For the past years, I celebrated my birthday with my family, then with friends -- highschool, college, officemates.. but not in one occassion. This was the first time I celebrated my birthday with all my friends in one 3D (dinner, drinks and dance :P) party. And it was one of the greatest birthdays, if not the greatest, I've ever had.

It took me some time to come up with this post, it was so hard for me to choose over hundreds of pix.. that's what all my friends and I have in common, walang kahilig-hilig sa pictures! ;-)

C-H-E-E-R-S-!!!

It's parteeeeh time!

Jamming session with Jojit and Trix (wow, sounds like a radio show!)

Oh, and since I'm such an easy-to-get when it comes to singing on stage, I had my dancing queen moment! harharhar!

Another jammer Vladi -- too bad I wasn't able to take a pic of Vladi singing with the band, since I don't know how to use his cam, sowee! :-/, he really sings well, I should've recorded it.

My ever-dependable girlfriends =)

And the Couple's Choice award goes to...

Friendster picks

Special thanks to:
1. Custom's Bar for the freebies and for not suing me for damages :-)
2. Vladi for the photo coverage ;-) (the pix are all great!)
3. Lai for your hundreds of pix contribution which you sent thru email (can you guys believe that?!?)
4. All my friends who made this li'l party of mine a great one.

A Lovely Dinner

June 27, 2007

I had a wonderful birthday, thanks for remembering, my dear friends. I still worked, no birthday leaves in eMVI, then I just had dinner (and a little Casino ;-P) with my family.

I had my birthday dinner in Market Cafe at Hyatt Hotel, Manila. I so love this place, ambiance pa lang, winner na! =D

As always, I pigged out on rockefeller and salmon sashimi. Lamb chops are ok, too.

Oh, and I also love their chocolate fondue. I can no longer eat ice cream even if I so wanted to, coz I can already feel my bloated tummy. ;)

Thanks DM for this lovely treat.

We really enjoyed the buffet, from the sinful appetizers to desserts.

We all went home with additional two pounds. ;-)

Nothing

They say nothing can be produced out of nothing. At times, I don't believe this.

Life is full of puzzles. I already lost count the number of times I asked myself - what do I want? what should I do? I know what to do, but how? how should I start? what should I do first? should I start now? if not, when?

I know there's something wrong...
I feel there's something missing..
But I don't know what it is..

Or I'm just tired.

Or sleepy.

Maybe I just need some rest. I guess I have to sleep now.

Goodnight.

Invisible War

Invisible war, seems we're fighting an invisible war
Strained manoeuvres, keeping silent score
In this invisible war
Every day I seem to lose you more
Both wishing it was like before
In this invisible war

Talk about a fine line between love and hate
We've lost more than our direction of late
Talk about a fine line between lovers and friends
We've never been lovers and now we're not even friends

In this invisible war, seems we're waging an invisible war
Every day I seem to lose you more
In this invisible war

It wounded deeply the scar is here to stay
Opening up at all the little things I do and say
You always want things to be as before
So I make you angry and you bleed a little more

In this invisible war, seems that we're waging an invisible war
Every day I seem to lose you more
In this invisible war

Want to go away
I still love you
Got to go away
I always love you
Got to be away
Time heals all wounds

A Year To Go

Another year to go and I'll leave my twenty's. Should I be sad? Naaah, I don't think so, I know there were hardships for the past twenty nine years of my life, the first seven years though I can no longer recall. :) But there were a lot of good times, super good times with family, friends and special friends.

There's so much to thank Him for. Thank you po.

Note: Thanks to all who remembered me today, you guys know who you are.. thanks too for those who sent me flowers.. they're all beautiful. :)

The Mango Farm

We went to The Mango Farm a couple of hours ago for the reservation and of course to do an ocular visit.

As what I mentioned before, I fell in love with this place the first time I went here. It's even better during night time. You can take a look at the other pix in their websites --> http://www.themangofarm.com and http://themangofarm.blogspot.com.

Sumakit ulo ko coz of the countless styling possibilities. I'll just leave the planning to Jessa, my event stylist from Auffrance Catering. I trust his errr her (whatever!) instincts. ;)

My sweetie, the financer! Harharhar! I know he had a major headache today coz of the reservation and down payments to suppliers. ;)

Copyright

It's beeen a while since my last blog. I was so busy these past few weeks -- work, about the new house, the big day, etc. Anyway, I'm back. :)

Since my family is starting to build a new house (actually, I'm on the process of acquiring a lot pa lang), I'm now occupied with home magazines -- all about houses, exterior and interior, room make-overs and the likes. And this pic will be an inspiration. ;) I hope the writers / publishers of the magazines where I got these pix wouldn't notice. :)

And since I'm also in a countdown for the big day, sheesh (panic mode), I also love browsing wedding mags and is fond of taking anything-and-everything-about-the-big-day-stuff pix from magazines.

And this pic of bouquet is exactly what I want for my wedding bouquet. Motif is pink but I just realized, thanks to this pic, pink looks better with violet. I just hope I'm right. :)

Anyway, I know I'll still change my mind one of these days. I've been changing color motifs for the last few months -- from citrus /summer theme to JS Prom theme. ;)

April Fool's @ T.M.F.

We went to The Mango Farm in Antipolo a few hours ago. We did some ocular and checked the rates. And got brochures from various vendors. ;)

The place is beautiful. Accessibility is a question though. Hmmm...

Anyway, that's all for now. :-)

I remember, it's April Fool's day. I hope this ocular visit is not a big joke. ;)
